  • Best Multi-Screen Display: Honoring the creative and effective use of multiple screens as part of singular execution. Elements should be designed to interact with or directly complement each other to create a combined message, rather than simply being stand-alone creative executions. Entries will be judged on strategy, art direction, copywriting, overall visual impact and campaign results.
     
  • Best Interactive Display: Honoring compelling use of viewer interaction with an outdoor or out-of-home advertising display, through touch, smartphones, apps, websites or any similar interface. Entries will be judged on a combination of user experience design, innovation, relevance of the interaction and campaign results.
     
  • Best Use of Technical Innovation: Honoring outdoor and out-of-home advertising campaigns or specific executions that illustrated forward-thinking use of technology, materials, media placement or user experience. Entries will be judged on creative innovation and campaign results.
     
  • Best Use of Data: Honoring effective, innovative and creative use of data in an outdoor or out-of-home campaign, either through the dynamic use of digital data sources or as an underpinning for the creative concept. Entries will be judged on innovation, creative presentation and campaign results.
     
  • Best Use of Social Media: Honoring insightful and creative use of social media channels or content. Relevant campaigns might digitally rebroadcast social media content, feature social media content as a core creative element or make high-level use of social sharing tactics. Entries will be judged on innovation, creative presentation and campaign results.
     
  • Best Use of Personalization: Honoring out-of-home displays that personalize or otherwise narrowly target audiences. This could be through digital or analog tactics, as long as the end result is a sense of personalization or direct relevance for the viewer. Entries will be judged on creative innovation, effectiveness, design and campaign results.

CRAFT CATEGORIES

  • Best Use of Alternative Materials: Honoring creative excellence in the use of nontraditional design materials. Entries will be judged on innovation, design and overall impact.
     
  • Best Use of 3-Dimensional Design: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home ad displays with primarily 3-dimensional elements. These should be real-world or realistically projected elements rather than simply designed through 3D modeling software. Entries will be judged on innovation, design and overall impact.
     
  • Best Use of Murals: Honoring creative and impactful use of mural-style design on exterior walls or facades. Entries will be judged on art direction, copywriting and overall impact.
     
  • Best Use of Animation: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home digital ads that use high-quality animation in compelling ways. Entries will be judged on the quality of the animation and the effectiveness of its usage.
     
  • Best Use of Illustration: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home ad campaigns that make excellent use of original illustrations. Primary design elements should not be based on stock art or other pre-created assets. Entries will be judged on the quality of the illustration and the effectiveness of its usage.
     
  • Best Use of Video: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home ad campaigns that make excellent use of original video, including video made for other assets (such as TV spots) within the same campaign. Entries will be judged on the quality of the video and the effectiveness of its usage.
     
  • Best Use of Photography: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home ad campaigns that make excellent use of original photography, including images created for other assets within the same campaign. Primary design elements should not be based on stock art or other pre-created assets. Entries will be judged on the quality of the photography and the effectiveness of its usage.
     
  • Best Copywriting: Honoring excellence in copywriting on one unified outdoor or out-of-home ad campaign. Entries will be judged on the quality and originality of the copywriting, along with its integration into the overall design and presentation.
     
  • Best Art Direction: Honoring excellence in art direction on one unified outdoor or out-of-home ad campaign. Entries will be judged on the quality and originality of the art direction, along with its effectiveness at conveying the campaign's messaging.

STRATEGY CATEGORIES

  • Best Nonprofit Advocacy Campaign: Honoring an outdoor or out-of-home campaign centered on social advocacy that blends creative excellence, effective messaging and innovative communications strategy. Entries will be based on strategic planning, messaging effectiveness, overall creative impact and campaign results. *FREE TO ENTER*
     
  • Best Global Campaign: Honoring a combination of strategic and creative insights fueling a visually consistent outdoor or out-of-home campaign running in three or more countries either concurrently or with elements rolling out within 6 months of each other.  Entries will be judged on creative excellence, strategic insight and design consistency.
     
  • Best Hyperlocal Campaign: Honoring an outdoor or out-of-home campaign specifically crafted for one city or community. Entries will be judged on relevance to the market, level of customization, creative excellence and strategic insight.
     
  • Best Site-Specific Campaign: Honoring an outdoor or out-of-home campaign whose strategy and creative execution are specific to one location, such as a building, landmark or community gathering place. Entries will be judged on relevance to the location, level of customization, creative excellence and strategic insight.
     
  • Best Mass Transit Campaign: Honoring ad campaigns created specifically for mass transit placements, such as in subway/train stations, inside trains or buses, or airport terminals. Entries will be judged on media strategy, creative excellence and overall impact.
     
  • Best Roadside Campaign: Honoring ad campaigns targeting drivers or pedestrians through roadside or urban outdoor displays. Entries will be judged on media strategy, creative excellence and overall impact.
     
  • Best Socially Provocative Campaign: Honoring outdoor or out-of-home campaigns aimed at generating public discussion around socially provocative issues such as sexual wellness, cultural stigmas or inequality. Entries will be judged on media strategy creative excellence and overall impact.
     
  • Best Retail or In-Store Campaign: Honoring out-of-home campaigns or promotional displays at or inside retail sites. Entries will be judged on creative innovation, user experience and effectiveness.
